Hi all,
Been a year since writing this blog. I may continue to do it every once in a blue moon or do it religiously. It depends on the mood I put myself in. Nonetheless, it fun to write about things I enjoy doing, and watching Chef's Table on Netflix really gets me wanting to go out into the world and eat good food.
Onto the Cheesecake Review.
For the past few years I do a twice a year extended break from work. This takes me traveling to somewhere different each time. This time it took me to some common places like Huntsville to see my mother and friends here. I was originally going to go to Panera with some close friends but had to revector myself to this new place in Huntsville (which the city itself is growing rapidly its pretty insane) called Tous De Jour. It is a French-Korean infusion bakery that has some wonderful desserts than just opened two or three weeks ago. Before talking about the Cheesecake I will have to say that the atmosphere and other desserts were good and thus I would definitely recommend it for getting your sugar fix.
HOWEVER, the Cheesecake they are offering in the package there (so it isn't made in-house in their defense) was trash. It is definitely a east Asian style Cheesecake so much more flour much less cream cheese. However the Cheesecake I had in Japan was fire. This Cheesecake was dry and tasted like a bland form of yellowcake you can find at Kroger down the street. It was worse than a dry hot dog bun you would hold onto until the seventh inning stretch of a baseball game. It was worse than what I would imagine the food equivalent of watching paint drying. To be honest I didn't even finish it and I love Cheesecake. You have got to be kidding me. Hopefully next time I am there they have a made Cheesecake which I bet would be fantastic.
