Walmart Cheesecake Review

 Hello Folks,

I have decided to plan out a two week trip to start hiking the mountain to sea trail that basically spans the length of North Carolina. I have set it up into segments to where I will be doing part of it once every year ffor the next four years (the fourth year will be three weeks). I've sorta hiked about 10 miles of it already but I feel like being out in the wilderness would be good for the soul. I do not plan on camping out in the back country rather get lodging at camping areas or some other place. But I will probably pack a tent and sleeping bag just in case. I also think I will assume risker stances on these trips (actually doing the backpack overnight camping for the next segments). But for now it is finding a lodging path that is more risk averse. Gaining that self-confidence will go a long way.

Onto the Cheesecake Review.

I decided to ignore the bakeshops this week and go to a more contemporary establishment know as Walmart. I'm not sure if folks know about this place but you can find all kinds of life in it. Hillbillies, freshman sorority girls looking to get by with buying the latest bud light seltzer using an id their cousins sold to them for 200 dollars, Juggalos, high schoolers on the prowl peeking at those sorority girls. For someone who likes to people watch it is a good place to wander around in. Here is their website (just in case). I walked in (unlike Publix over half the people were not wearing masks), took in the sights, barfed a little, got to the bakery, grabbed a Cheesecake, kept away from any eye contact, checked out, and left. I got home and got a shower (jk but no really).

The one thing about Walmart is that you cannot beat their prices as it costed me less than 3 bucks for two slices of Cheesecake. As you see below I went with Turtle Cheesecake as my second option. Like Winn-Dixie I am only rating the Traditional (trad lyfe). To be perfectly honest their Cheesecake has been on par or better than most restaurants. The Cheesecake itself didn't taste like it came out of hibernation. My only complain is the crust and man they did a great job adding more crust than most folks. The crust though was dry. Really my only complaint. Based on this review and the Winn-Dixie review I am starting to believe that your best value is going to a grocery store's bakery and getting a Cheesecake over buying one at a restaurant. Those still don't beat the homemade bakery ones but they do beat the 7 dollar frozen ones.

Overall Score: 7.2/10

P.S. Libe Barer, there must be something wrong with my eyes. I cannot take them off of you.
