Frozen Cheesecake (Atlanta Cheesecake Company) Review

 Happy Halloween folks,

Today while running some folks decided to yell at me for some reason. I had my earphones in so I couldn't hear what they said. I initially pretended that I didn't hear them and they slowly drove by me. I then tried to not ignore them and show through hand signals that I couldn't hear them. It was incredibly awkward and my anxiety was screaming internally. I think next time I will muster up the balls to turn my head and stare at a yeller (it has happened a bunch) and see who it is hopefully.

Onto the Cheesecake Review.

So this weekend I decided to not go for a bakery but rather go the cheap route. I am currently paying off a house and another loan so I need to budget better. So I stopped into Winn Dixie (I'm not betraying you Publix like Libe Barer is betraying me) and strolled on over to their bakery. I found a petite box (not by Winn Dixie proper) with two small slices of Cheesecake in it. Since Winn Dixie proper didn't have their own Cheesecake I bought it. Plus it was 2.99 so I will definitely say that my cheap self got a great deal for my weekly Cheesecake review. The company that makes it is called Atlanta Cheesecake Company. Based on my verifiable sources (google), it is part of this conglomerate called Dessert Holdings (website here). It also looks like it had a cafe back in the day that seemed similar to Cheesecake Factory, but it shut down. Right off where I drive to get to Atlanta such disappointment.

Anyways I got home, opened the box, and ate both slices in one sitting. I am judging only the traditional New York Style. One thing to note, they advertised that they didn't have high fructose corn syrup and no artifical flavors so for you health nuts out there this is a pretty good Cheesecake to get. Usually any food gets better if they use sugar over high fructose corn syrup and this Cheesecake was solid. The other frozen Cheesecake I got was weak sauce compared to this. AND FOR THAT PRICE. Given I'm not rating Cheesecakes based on price I gave it the score below. Pretty good but not a world beater in terms of taste. But if I was poor I know where I'd get my Cheesecake fix.

Overall Score: 7.1/10

P.S. Yes the Picture is shit. Deal with it.
