Djon Village Market (Junior's) Cheesecake Review

 Hello Folks,

I had a dream last night where I was spending time convincing somebody that I was meant for marriage over say living a celibate life as a priest or monk. It was all emotional and it ended with some piece of mind moment as I left from what I thought was a church but it turns out was a beautiful house on a grassy hill. It was a weird dream but probably going to stick with me for a bit. I also had a dream about being the Avatar in Avater: the last Airbender so definitely taking this seriously may or may not be a good idea.

Onto the Cheesecake review.

So I went to this Meetup (oh how my social life has fallen) where we talked about deep philosophical ideas and meaning within our world. I get off to that type of conversation even if it is a bit snotty at times (well its probably snotty a lot). I really enjoyed that Meetup and probably will participate more times as my life continues. Part of that Meetup involved getting some food and we went to this market called Djon Village Market (website link here). This place is a foodie hippie's dream. It had a bakery, a wine bar, only the most organic foods you could find, and fresh made pizza all of which were up charged for fresh. What they also had was Cheesecake. It wasn't homemade, but they took the goodness up a level and are getting the Cheesecake from a place called Junior's.

Now let me tell you about Junior's, cause as a Cheesecake lover you have to respect Junior's. It is well known that they have one of the best New York style Cheesecakes around. No bar hands down God level Cheesecake. I based my own Cheesecake recipe off of Juniors. I swear I will fly to New York to have one of their Cheesecakes at their Flagship store. But I will save that for another day. I got a slice that was sitting in the fridge and went on my merry way. I also got a pizza cause it looked pretty solid. 30 minutes later I got home, and ate the Cheesecake (not the pizza Cheesecake always comes first). It was pretty solid but I think I had too high of expectations. One thing that was major props was that you could taste the Cream Cheese. That was good, the sponge cake bottom didn't stand out but it wasn't suppose to. However it just wasn't as fluffy as I had hoped. I am going to partially blame it being in the fridge/being shipped but I was a bit disappointed. But to be fair this is probably the best off the shelf Cheesecake I have had in a minute. I'll be back Junior's you best believe.

Overall Score: 8.1/10

P.S. Libe Barer, Can I follow you where you're going right now? Cause my parents always told me to follow my dreams!
