Complaining Time. I feel a bit depressed recently. This is due to a few things. Mainly my big plans of getting a doctorate are gone for now (advisor stopped believing in me for now), which has a huge cascading effect on the rest of my life. It affects my job, which has a requirement to finish my doctorate degree. Otherwise, I am out of a job. Make matters more dick in the butt for a straight guy, while the group I am in now is a great group to be in, they are about to lose their big projects (and thus management probably does not need to hire a new person). It affects my plans to get a place at my job (luckily I did not commit to buying a place). I really would like to have my own place with a stable job in the very near future. So I'm sitting here, with a job that I feel like will not continue, at a place I probably will not be at in at max 5 months (and thus my desires are not being fulfilled). And frankly, I cannot wait until I understand that this is life, and I need to go about this day-by-day and live in the moment. As a disclaimer, I feel like I can do a doctorate but I have not been motivated to put in the time and effort to do it properly. So really if I look at this logically, this probably will all work out for the better. But nonetheless still depressed.
Onto the Cheesecake Review.
I went to a food truck rally that had like 40 food trucks. The food there was delicious and I had basically two full meals. I meet up with some co-workers and met some new people. That was pretty entertaining to talk to some of these extremely smart individuals about their work. But back to the food. I had this lobster grilled cheese sandwich that was simply incredible. Let me tell you, I have realized that I'm not sticking to my diet properly. But I can say that when I cheat, I cheat with authenticity and flair. #the1%
Anyways one of the food trucks there was a Cheesecake food truck and I was like, "Ya I need that in my lyfe rn". The name of the food truck was Cheesecake by Design (Here is their website). So I went there and tried their turtle Cheesecake. And this was before I had the grilled cheese sandwich. You question my choice of the turtle Cheesecake over traditional, but they did not have a traditional Cheesecake. Slightly disappointed initially, but let me tell you the Cheesecake did not disappoint. It was super smooth, and the caramel and chocolate did not overpower the Cheesecake at all. The base was also prevalent, as while it was not a chocolate base the graham crackers were easily tasted. I have not had such a good Cheesecake in a good while. After the lobster grilled cheese, I went back for seconds.
