Yes its been another three months and yes I have been dropping the ball. But I plan to get back into the regularly scheduled weekly blog posts now. This is due to my current career direction (requiring less required time) and desire to earn this thing called 'job stability'. As indicated in my last post three months ago I had planned to continue my doctorate degree, finish it, and inevitably work at NASA. However, that took a 180 when my qualification exam went horribly and my adviser recommended to look for jobs against attempting to take the exam again because I do not have the right mindset to get the doctorate. So here I am, at a job that requires me to complete my doctorate degree with an adviser who has stopped believing in my capabilities to get the doctorate at a school where that same adviser will be on your committee whether you like it or not. Just stick it in deep life, I love it when its dry. #sendmeaprayer
Onto the Cheesecake review.
On my second to last day of being in Huntsville, I went to Nothing but Noodles with a friend. If you haven't guessed yet, it serves a variety of noodles with a certain amount of sauces, and some meat if you so choose to add protein in your life. Got fettuccine, spaghetti, ravioli, penne, wet, dry, rice, spinach, really any type of noodle you can think of they have it. Here is their website. I got their fettuccine alfredo with chicken. It was meh because its sorta a chain, but boy it was filling. I was not expecting the portion size and I was stuffed headed into the Cheesecake. The company was solid. This friend of mine also happened to be my lab partner at school and he is doing some cool stuff with taking a new approach to contracting. We sure need that, especially given the costs of the F-35 program and the SLS program. Its really not that hard to see how those cost-plus contracts can get out of hand. We spent most of that lunch taking about our respective research directions. So the company was fantastic.
So going into the Cheesecake I was stuffed so if the Cheesecake was not up to par it would receive a less that usual rating. And that is the result of this Cheesecake. On the outside it looked fantastic. New York style, no toppings, pure bliss. However, the reason for that was because it just got out of the freezer, as I tasted the sweet, sweet glory of no moisture in the Cheesecake at times. A benefit of the Cheesecake that ended up being a dis-benefit in my situation was the size of the Cheesecake. still, it was a Cheesecake, and I ate the whole thing.
Overall Score: 7.2/10
