So I went through an existential crisis about the degree I am pursuing on whether it is a worthwhile endeavor. If you have not thought about your significant life choices then you must be either insane or ignorantly bliss. I wonder if just trying to go get a job somewhere after this semester is a better option, as I am getting close to wanting to start an "adult life" of having a family of my own maybe. However, I came to the realization that pursing the adult life is currently not in my plans at the moment. I just want to finish this degree, no matter how long it has taken to even get a dent in it. I have a general goal in life that requires me to get this degree. I'm sure if I come back in about three months I will have changed that goal. But right now it is looking like I am going to have to continue to work on my growth for another couple of years before I can accept another person and make that family. #lollifeneverworksthatway
Onto the Cheesecake review.
I went to Rock n' Roll Sushi with a big group to celebrate a friend's successful thesis defense. Naturally one of the girls brought her mom (cute) and made me tell her mom the story of the purple drank I had at a party while inebriated (not cute). You know, I was like wanting to keep a mature image in front of a much more wiser 32 year old women (whose daughter decided to acknowledge me in her thesis lol why). I would show my chivalrous and general politeness I thought (traits I will always have Libe Barer). But nope. Force cheesecakelover to talk about his drunk adventures and 'garbage disposal-esqe' eating habits, that will show her his grace and elegance. I bet she was just making sure her mom did not fall in love with me so the mom wouldn't try to push her onto me. That is understandable as almost all mom's with single daughters getting up there in age somehow fall in love with me (I am a hot bachelor with a pretty decent career). #alwaysimpressyourelders
The place I went is actually pretty freaking awesome. Here is their menu on their website. It a sushi place but had some interesting sushi creations like baked or fried sushi rolls with some great names like the 'Red Hot Chili Peppers' roll or "Michael Jackson" roll. They also have some good beer on tap and decent desserts. I had the 'Super Crunch' roll and the 'Heart roll'. The former was you basic white girl with a budget salmon roll and the latter was a seafood creation of goodness baked like some dope cookies from Colorado. I was somewhat full before pursuing the Cheesecake (sushi does not really fill me up). And like their sushi, the Cheesecake has a different flare.
The Cheesecake was fried and topped with whipped cream. I was initially skeptical about fried Cheesecake, but remembered that everything tastes better fried the first time I had it and never looked back. This one was not an exception. When they fry it, the texture because much softer, and personally I love that change in texture from what it was. It probably was not homemade, bought at the store Cheesecake, but frying it limits your ability to check that while making it better. My only qualm was that it was not large. Furthermore the crunch of the fried batter was also sorta mehhy. However, I loved it, and did not share with anyone (probably because I did not want to).
Overall Score: 8.4/10
